Adams Rite Aerospace (ARA) received Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) from the FAA on 30 September 2009.

This new ODA designation allows ARA to issue PMA supplements internally, no longer submitting them to the manufacturing side of the FAA organization for approval after we have obtained the proper certification paperwork and the designation also allows ARA to perform conformity of product on aircraft installations. 

In the past, PMA supplement submittals and the approval process could take several months, where now ARA can perform this task within a day to allow our customers a faster delivery of supplemental shipments.

When presented with our ODA FAA designation on September 30, 2009, the FAA told Adams Rite Aerospace that this designation is only given to quality companies that they can trust to perform these functions and that ARA was one of only 48 companies in the United States that has obtained this prestigious designation.
